“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” -Gustav Flaubert
prologue
Hello everyone! It’s been a while, but I am back with a new post!
Around October of last year, I took a break from a lot of my favorite things in life, including blogging. I was mentally going through a lot. I realized, I have anxiety and OCD and didn’t know how to properly manage it. Once I did, I became much better and I’m thankful to say that I have been feeling fine.
A lot of people tend to escape when they are feeling down and sometimes that means travelling to places. I’ve always been the person where if I mentally don’t feel the best, then I would rather not go anywhere until I feel like it. But sometimes, waiting for things to get better can make you miss out on some fun and cool opportunities.
Ever since this year started, I decided to lead my life with no expectations, and it’s been amazing! Of course, I still have goals but I have no high expectations of when it will happen, I just lead life as it is.
I was thinking the other day, I should get back into blogging again and this idea came up of what places I want to visit. The world is so huge and there’s so much to see, so why limit ourselves? I hope to travel to these places soon in my life and wanted to share a few of them today!
1. South Korea
I feel like everyone knows this about me lol
South Korea is my top destination of where I want to travel!

I must say it’s quite underrated. So many people I know travel to countries in Europe such as Italy, Rome, Greece, and while these are beautiful places to visit, there is so much to explore with architecture, beauty, and culture in South Korea. Did I also mention the food?

Many may think I would only want to visit South Korea because of my love for BTS and k-drama’s and while that is partially true, I honestly have admired Korean culture for the past 3 years and would love to get a chance to explore that firsthand when I go here one day.
I also am a huge fan of Korean food and fashion! All I know is when I go, I’m probably going to come back with another suitcase from all the shopping (and memories) I would take with me.

2. Brazil
One of the main reasons I want to go to Brazil is because I want to visit the Earth’s lungs which is the Amazon Rainforest!

I always wanted to explore this country as it looks like a lot of fun and seems like a really cool experience. I would love to see Christ the Redeemer and even play some soccer while I’m there!
My cousin’s wife has been to Brazil a few times, and she always has told me how the food, people, and overall ambience of the country is amazing.

After the 2016 Olympics in Rio, I believe this was when I wanted to visit Brazil.
3. The Netherlands
Have you ever seen this?

It’s Miffy! I love this adorable bunny that was originated from The Netherlands itself in 1955! All I know is once I visit this country located in Northwestern Europe, I will be buying lots of Miffy items.
However, it’s not the only reason why I want to visit. The Netherlands is known for their beautiful tulip fields, windmills, and cycling routes, almost like a Studio Ghibli movie.

I would want to live out my Studio Ghibli dreams and visit this really beautiful place one day.
4. France
Ever since I was 9 years old, I wanted to go to Paris, France.

I studied French in high school and thought to myself, that I can pick up on some sentences and a few words when I go there one day!
There is lots to see in Paris, I would of course love to see the Eiffel Tower, take a stroll by the beautiful lavender fields in the countryside, and check out the very iconic Mona Lisa painting.

I get inspired when I see images of Paris, it seems like a tranquil and romantic place to visit.
5. Egypt
One of my friends is Egyptian, where she has family there and has been to this majestic country before. I remember when she showed me pictures from her time there, I instantly knew that I had to visit Egypt!

As you may or may not know, I love to look at architecture in different countries, and Egypt is no exception. This historical place has one of the 7 Wonders of the World which is the Pyramids of Giza! I also would like to go to the Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve and take in all the beauty Egypt has to offer.

If I’ll be honest, I would like to go here for my honeymoon!
I read the book “The Alchemist” and while that story was anything but romantic, certain places in Egypt remind me of how some places were described in the book, it would seem nice to see that with my future husband lol
I always say that travelling is a privilege and while we all might not feel like it at times, we are all still young and there is still time to see all the places you want to visit.
What countries would you like to travel to? – Or have been to? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
